Ready for the 30th

Okay, fine I am definitely attending the 30th anniversary of TSKI, it;s going to be fun for lots of reasons, and one of the reasons is the place which is in the famous island of Boracay.  The venue in particular is the Boracay Echo Village where the Miss Earth of 2008 was held. The Echo Village roofing was severely damaged by typhoon Yolanda in 2013 but was restored few months after.  By now it's not just the Echo Village which was restored but the entire island's establishments as well.  Boracay is famous for its long white beaches, famous for night beach life with the fire dancers anywhere, setting aside controversy fine hotels and fine dining are just pictures of developments.
Another reason to be ready for the 30th anniversary is to receive my loyalty award, my 15th year of service.  I have not received the most outstanding BM nor most outstanding AM award over the years but being a part of this great organization is enough.  Rising from a lowly field worker to become part of the middle management is an award in itself.  And there should also be a reason to be busy looking for something to wear about.  And speaking of getting ready one must think of the Hawaiian attire, the long gown, the matching shoe and bag.  It is really tiresome to think where on earth could I get a long gown, if I had it sewn with my own design it cost something.  If I rent around from some boutique it cost too but the question would be, would it fit me considering I am petite. But lo and behold!  I skirted downtown at Mary Mart, in less than an hour my woes are solved!  A peach flowered long gown (for me but long dress for another) with a touch of hand stitched on the sides, and a FerraGamo handbag to match my old shoe.  Cool.

Moved on to Marvelous Life

I am the youngest in the family of eight which includes my parents.  I spent my early childhood in two different places, Getafe and Tagbilaran City.  In Getafe we lived in a big wooden 2-storey house and we "own" one room with a stairway that would lead to the basement which serves as our kitchen.  It was a dirty kitchen and there was no flooring. And there was a big dog named War who would sit on the uppermost staircase looking down at us while we ate and beside War was a big orange cat named Oblada. I have several cousins in that big house two boys about my age and they would come and we would play on weekends. And there were also younger siblings of my father whom I have known to be his half-brothers and half-sisters. I also have fond memories of Lola Dora my father's step mother. She was a stern woman, hard-working and whenever I have fever I remember her giving a massage with a peculiar touch of relief. I learned to weave mat in that house she was so skilled on that.

Marvelous Life

Most people define the word marvelous as "wonderful, unusual, almost a miracle".  But what really makes up a marvelous life?  In the last few years of my corporate world, I desired to live a life like this.  I searched around how it is how other people live a marvelous life.  Some described it to have lots of money or making money, others stay out of debts and others for them is living in a well-manicured high-end residential house, condo or in high rise places to feel that you are at the top looking down at creations. Others simply have to travel like having breakfast in Hong Kong, dinner in Sydney.  I have not lived in a condo yet, neither in skyscraper nor make lots of money; I have been to Hong Kong some time ago but not to Sydney yet.  But to live in a real marvelous life is not limited to the things I just mentioned.   I was an idealistic yuppie hard working, obedient and respectful.  And I thought that a marvelous life is hard to achieve.  To earn it you have to wo

I'm Home

No place like home. It has been four months but I get by.  On my own.  I had my tiny house adjacent at the back of our main house.  I had my small kitchen, small home office, and small room. I have a tiny puppy which would become a small dog. Stock market is not so good at this time, but I get by. I went to alumni home coming became one of the board members.  On Mondays I have my church voluntary work. Other days I'm home just fiddling with my computer.
